music: Nobuo Uematsu - Infiltrating ShinRa Tower
Taking care of animals is so much work and money! Walked to PetsMart with CJ and Max after I got home (Max was so excited). It was blazing hot out. Bought some doggie toothpaste, kitty litter (which I had to carry all the way back home), more dog food, and Max also got his teeth brushed. He needs a dental, but that'll cost about $200 at Banfield. I still need to get my phone fixed, too!
I saw Chicago last night, a musical drama directed and choreographed by Rob Marshall based on the Fosse musical. I really wasn't looking forward to it, but it was a really good movie. Even more impressive, everyone did their own singing and dancing. My favorite role for Catherine Zeta-Jones so far. She's so beautiful. Worth all the Oscar wins/nominations.

music: Crying Nut - Circus Magic Wanderers
I am worth $1,002,000 on HumanForSale.com
Which means that if you were on a gameshow and you had to kill me for $5 million you'd better do it cuz I ain't worth that much.
T_T
music: Se7en - Honey I Know
OMG.
My phone and my camera are busted. I grabbed my camera b/c I wanted to take a pic of Max but there's a 'Lens Error'. Then I learn that this is a common Nikon problem and now I'm annoyed. I'm probably gonna get a new camera instead of getting it fixed b/c I think my insurance is already expired. On my way back home, my drink leaked and my phone was in the same bag so it was swimming in liquid by the time I got to it. It had started vibrating. Maybe I should hope for a miracle and that they all start working again tomorrow.

music: SADS - Feeling High & Satisfied
Yesterday was a pretty interesting day, and I don't have too many of those. That morning, I had taken the dog out for a walk, as usual, but I was pretty damn tired. I tend to dispose his droppings in a plastic bag and I'd toss them in a dumpster outside of a bar on Mifflin. It was chained up really tight, which was pretty rare (at least at the times I've used it), but there was a space to throw the bag in. So I did. Then I felt horrible like I did something wrong. I mean, obviously these people did not want people throwing their trash in their bin, but I did it anyway. I wasn't thinking. I just have a really strong conscience, I guess. Weird because I don't really consider myself a nice, friendly person. Just very introverted, antisocial, and a loner.
Nothing fascinating at lunch break. It was late 80s when I went out. I hit the bank and decided to try out Quizno's which was close by. Now I've had jobs where I'd horse around with the other employees, but seeing it happen in front of me, where I was the only customer, made me feel realllly uncomfortable. I wanted them to shut up and act professional. Funny the manager was standing there, but he's one of those laidback ones where if I told them how I felt about them having fun and talking loudly while I waited for my food was annoying me, I'd be the bitch. I should write to Quizno's corporate or something. BTW, the Black Angus sandwich was terrific.
Last night I worked 6-close (around 12:30AM) at the Ritz as the doorperson. A family walked in sporting Otakon shirts, one of which was for 2004 and I was like 'OMG I went there to see L'arc~en~Ciel!' and they were like 'Yeah, we work for Otakon' and I find out that one of the guys was the announcer for the concert! That was pretty neat. Unfortunately, they didn't tell me about the next musical guest :(
Finally, a group of people walked in, one wearing a shirt that said 'Got DeCSS?' and this is what happened:
Me: Can I ask you about your shirt?
Guy: Yes (looking down at his ticket and stuff)
Me: Isn't that what they use to break DVD encryption? (I said something to that effect, I have the worst memory)
Guy: Yes! You're the first person to know that!
I felt a surge of pride after that and congratulated myself on a fine display of 1337 hax0r knowledge (haha or not). I do remember reading about that Norwegian teenager who came up with DeCSS. One of the rare times I actually remember something.
Played with Max until about 2-2:30AM and then went to sleep, he slept at the foot of my bed. That was my Tuesday. It was swell.

music: m-flo - the love bug (big bug nyc remix by hiroshima)
I need to make a list of songs for the summer:
m-flo - the love bug (big bug nyc remix by hiroshima)
Mariah Carey - We Belong Together
CUBE JUICE - Sun Sunshine
Se7en - Baby I Like You Like That
Force of Nature - Tsurugi no mai
Plastic Tree - Nihon Wa Seiten Nari
I can't think of anymore for the moment. I'm sure that list will get bigger.
Anyway, congrats to CJ aka jane is cool aka cool rapper jane for graduating yesterday from Sts. Neumann and Goretti HS. Class of 2005! Haha! We ate afterwards at Imperial Inn @ Chinatown.
I had a massive headache when we got home so I slept for a few hours (with the dog.. awwww). Then I went to PetsMart to buy some food for the animals.
Thanks, Jane, for not going to work to stay home with the dog and putting him up on the webcam!

You Are 23 Years Old |
23 Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe. 13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world. 20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences. 30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more! 40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax. |
How fortunate. That's how old I am, anyway.

music: Taebin - One Love (Acoustic Version)
Last night I went to the Ritz to pick up Zelda's papers. I passed by the cat hospital this morning, apparantly it's only a bus ride away. It's $15 more for a doctor visit at the VCA Cat Hospital compared to Simmons Animal Hospital on 15th & Wolf. Gonna have to get Zelda's shots updated this weekend.
I saw My Boss, My Hero last night. A Korean action/drama/comedy about a gangster who goes back to high school so he can take over the gang. It's got GTO elements as far as comedy, fighting, and really cheesy melodramatic moments are concerned, but I liked the GTO series better than this movie. The ending made it seem like there was a sequel but I'll have to look for it on Nicheflix.
I've been working on the Peelander-Z fansite, but I still don't like the way it looks. Ah well. It can always be improved upon. I need to get the backend working, again, though. I haven't messed with databases in a while.

music: Gackt - Leeca
Okay, so anyway, I love The Neverending Story and I was looking up pix of Falkor for Max's site. I get curious about Atreyu (pictured below with Artex):

I had a thing for Atreyu when I was younger. So what does Noah Hathaway look like these days?

He's pretty, right? I'm glad he aged well. :D
music: Dir en grey - 304 Goshitsu, Hakushi no Sakura
So Look At Me was a French movie, character driven, about a fat self-loathing girl who is suspicious of those close to her because of paranoia that they're just trying to suck up to her selfish writer-father who is beginning to lose out to the younger generation. It was a good movie, but since it heavily relies on characters, who I ended up hating because they were annoying, it left me grinding my teeth as I left the theater. That stupid fat girl always had this smug look in her face and was always acting pitiful because she was fat. So annoying. Just be happy dammit.
I wanna see Mr. and Mrs. Smith Go to Washington. I might catch either Layer Cake or Mad Hot Ballroom tonight.
