Jane's Birthday Week

Nightmare day at work! I don't really want to get into it but a lot of things weren't working. That really just how the week has been going, anyway. So frustrating. I really need a drink or 100 tonight.

In better news, I had a really good run last night and hope that I can continue to make good numbers. The last time I ran before last night was Saturday morning. I wonder if the weather had anything to do with the time improvement. Or the fact that I had Starbucks for lunch and was amped because of the coffee.

Aside from work stress, the apartment search was becoming frustrating so I have abandoned it for the time being. I'm really excited for Center City Restaurant Week even though they pushed it back so it is a week after my birthday. Jane booked a couple of restaurants and I booked 2 for myself and Peter.

Earlier this week, Jane and I went to SoWe Restaurant in the Graduate Hospital area, played quizzo, ate ceviche, steak and catfish and drank Strongbow cider. Afterwards, I took her to Franklin Mortgage Investment speakeasy and we got DRANKS!

Wednesday was Jane's 26th birthday and we all went to Pumpkin restaurant for dinner. The food was delicious and my only complaint was that they took sooo long bringing out the next courses. My dad didn't pay so we each put down about $80. Not bad! Tonight is Jane's party at Medusa Lounge. Not sure if I'm gonna go yet but I want to!

Monday was mom's birthday. We had visited Mom's grave Sunday after church and gave her flowers and talked about her. On Monday, Dad held a little BBQ in her memory. I bought tiramisu cake and it was delicious! I'm sure Mom would have loved it. Happy Birthday, Mommy! You would have been 61. I miss you so very much.

That night I slept over with Pete and we watched movies and drank and ate. Visited Fresh Grocer for some munchies and he made tuna melts. Tuesday night we went to Frankford Hall to watch the Olympics and eat burgers and drink huge glasses full of beer. We weren't happy with our food so Pete mentioned that to a waitress who told the floor manager and he comped our meal!

Wednesday and Thursday nights I didn't see Pete but I did go to the VW meet in Jersey last night. The Bourne Legacy is in theaters now and I can't wait to see it! I've also been watching Bleach and I'm really into it. I hope to watch more now that I've finished Workaholics.

Total Recall

Major slack on the blogging! Got out of work early and had my car appointment pushed to Saturday so went to the movies instead! Pete and I saw Total Recall. He enjoyed it but I was disappointed. It was ok, though. Just underwhelmed again. Afterwards we went to eat at Percy Street BBQ on South Street.

Not sure anything significant has happened that I'm willing to share. Today I did go see Danny at Garnet Volkswagen and he did work on my car. Got an oil change. Need I remember to call Carsense to renew my warranty. After that I went to Hibachi 2Go and got a mystery party sushi platter that really disappointed.

Working in getting my finances in order but I don't think I want to move until maybe winter or next spring. Next year would be good, at least I will have vacation days again.

Slacking on running, too. Blaming it on dining days and lots of rain. Hope to buy running shoes and get back into it.

My mom's 61st birthday is tomorrows I love you and miss you, Mommy!
