MA Road Trip

music: Kendrick Lamar - Tammy's Song

Saturday morning Peter and I woke up around 8 to get ready for a 5 hour drive to Massachusetts to pick up his children in Medway. We got breakfast at McDonald's which I screwed up TWICE because I was distracted watching an angry patron arguing with the manager. Peter drove the way there with light snow blowing down but it didn't impede our trip at all. We made it there in 5 hours and after about 30 minutes of loading everyone up and getting ready, we turned around and headed back to Philly. We got back pretty late as I drove back and hit traffic just before the George Washington Bridge.

Sunday morning I made it early to the 7:30 mass although the cashier at Lukoil kept holding me up asking about my background while I was trying to get change for the weekly offering envelopes. Afterwards, Anne and Jane were home and we all went with Molly and Dad to see mom at the cemetary. It was soooo cold! I couldn't stay outside for very long. When we got home, everyone had something to do so I just went back to the apartment and read fanfiction while Peter played with his kids. Around noon we all walked in the freezing cold to Underdogs and then played at Capitolo Park across the street.

It was a decent day. Peter cooked steak for dinner and we watched Wreck-it-Ralph again.

post Valentine's Day

music: Kendrick Lamar - Swimming Pools (Drank)

Had a wonderful Valentine's Day with Peter! I stopped by Termini's to pick up 4 cannoli, 2 carrot cake and 2 tiramisu and a cherry cheesecake (since they didn't have pie). It came out to $50. I found parking near the apartment and when I came upstairs, Peter presented me with a single long stemmed rose! It was very sweet. Then he showed me his Italian Market haul which consisted of steak, scallops, jumbo shrimp, mushrooms, asparagus and scallion. He was going to cook but then he got this great idea to use the griddle in the computer room and grill everything! It turned out to be a success! The food was delicious and the wait wasn't long at all. Watched the latest Naruto Shippuden while we ate. The cherry cheesecake was very rich and it was delicious! Fell asleep after we watched SINISTER which was scary but could have been done a little better. I woke up a couple of hours later and watched a little of Flight up until after the plane crashed. Went back to sleep around 6 and WOKE UP LATE. Of course.

Also, the computer room smells like delicious shrimp now. Yum.

2013 so far....

music: Widowspeak - Minnewaska

Slacking! So much has happened since my last blog. I don't even know if I can get everything in without just babbling about all that has happened. Well, most importantly, Anne is pregnant! She will be due something in the summer. We are very excited and hope for the best. I bought a TV in December from hhgregg. A 50" plasma LG TV. No bells & whistles, just a TV that works. It was cheap but after shipping and taxes it was an OK price. I got a Keurig KCup brewer, Air Max sneakers, The Little Endless Storybook, Game of Thrones blu ray and Bridesmaids BR for Christmas from my sisters. I also got a bunch of Bleach toys from Peter and Shadow of the Colossus.

The end of the year I had plans to finish reading The Hunger Games books and all of Bleach and Naruto anime and I did it! I felt very accomplished, haha. This year I already read a couple of books and watched more movies. I beat Torchlight on XBL and started playing Halo: Reach. I bought a Kindle Fire HD but I think I will be returning it for another tablet. I really want Ni No Kuni for PS3! Today also happens to be Valentine's Day but I am trying not to make a big deal of it. My dad will be leaving for the Philippines next month. He should be returning sometime in May before the anniversary of Mommy's death.

We still need to buy a bed for the apartment. That is probably going to be my last big purchase. Peter and I also have to drive to Massachusetts to pick up his kids who will be staying with us for a week. His brother, Carmine, also stayed with us for a few days when he visited. We had all watched the Super Bowl at their parent's house in the Poconos where the Ravens beat the Niners.

That's all for now. Hopefully I write more and not wait a couple of months -___-
