The Dark Knight Rises weekend... fun times!

music: echo & the bunnymen - the killing moon

Recapping because I keep forgetting to blog. I've been tired lately and pretty busy so I'm happy. I feel like the days are full of diverse activities and I've been on a good schedule. No drinking or other crazy debauchery that I was used to. Hoping to stay clean, free and happy. Oh, finally went to Shake Shack Wednesday night and it was awesome!

Thursday: My dad, Molly and I dropped Jane off at the airport for her trip to Miami. We left around 5:30AM. I was still awake texting Pete because I was sooo hot. I then went to see him after I took care of the animals and then went to work. The work day was OK, busy but then I got into a funk and was just miserable. I went straight to Clark Park right after work for the Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll. Peter was with his arcade buddies but he joined up with me and we had a lot of fun. We got hot dogs at Green Line Cafe, pizza at Fiesta Pizza, beer at Queen of Sheba and chicken skewers at Vientiane Cafe. We also saw a few people walking up and down the avenue. Dahlak was pretty busy. It was a nice night, glad the rain stayed away.

Friday: Don't remember much about Friday except the Colorado shootings during The Dark Knight Rises and after work Pete and I used my Groupon at Lee How Fook. It was really small and busy but there was a table for us. We got spring rolls for appetizer and he ordered scallops in black bean sauce and I got the salt baked squid. The food there was really good! I didn't know it was a BYOB. Afterwards we just crashed at Clark park and napped until I went home.

Saturday: Had an early start to the day. Peter made egg and mushroom sandwiches and we ate them at Clark Park where they also had a Farmer's Market. We got cookies and bread and ate them in my car until we left to go to Rave to get free tickets to see The Dark Knight Rises. I was tired so we walked to Lovers and Madmen and I got a Milky Way Latte and we stopped at the new location of Locust Moon Comics. The movie wasn't packed and we weren't too into it at all. Peter was really into Catwoman but not much else. The movie was OK, though. I felt that the ending was obvious but a happy one. People really made a big deal about the movie. We went to Fresh Grocer for a bit after and ate sushi and Peter did some work for 99 Designs. It was time for the "Reinvention" party at Locust Moon so we did some mingling and browsing. Got hungry so we did dining days at Pattaya Grill. We ate there before and loved it but it was really cheap and the food was good and fast. New Delhi looked like it was packed and I wasn't really in the mood for Indian. Went to University Pinball for a little bit after then the night was over. I could have gone out again but I wanted to save money and I was also tired.

Sunday: Woke up nice and early for church and we got there on time! I also managed to walk and try to feed Molly before. After mass I texted Ren if she wanted to go with us to the cemetery so she said she did and we picked her and Antonio up. Didn't do much after that except walk Molly again. Waited for Pete to finish his work so I didn't get to see him until around 7. Had dinner at New Deck Tavern and then left to pick up Jane. Molly and Anne also went. Jane had lots of funny stories and got us shorts from Miami!

I'll post about Monday later...

Cruel Angel's Thesis

Another busy day! This morning on the drive to work I heard a crack as debris hits my windshield. I have a pebble sized crack on it. Appointment to Safelite made and I'll be getting it patched for less than $150.

Did a lot at work, too. Had Wawa for lunch, watched Howl's Moving Castle and some Roswell. Met up with Rachel in Fishtown to pick up the Neon Genesis Evangelion toys. Drove straight to FDR park for another run. Went home, showered and had a big dinner courtesy of Jane.

Spending a lot this week but it's been fun so far. Trying to stay positive and keep busy. More accomplishments and more activities.

Breaking Bad is back!

Really busy day today! Woke up, dressed, finished out paperwork for benefits, went to DD and went to work. Got a lot done at work as well. Watched Breaking Bad and some of Clerks 2. Peter was awake till about 3 so I was able to text him all day. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram were all busy to keep me occupied throughout the day, too. Went to No 1 China for lunch. Got the fried whiting fish with white rice and tartar sauce. After I got home, I sorted the laundry my dad did till Jane got home. Jane went to the gym and I went to FDR park to do my usual 3+ mile run. Afterwards I took a shower, fixed the closet, setup the new modem and helped Jane clean out the turtle tank when she got home. Didn't get to see Peter because he fell asleep when I got out of work. Just had a Popsicle and am relaxing playing games on my phone. I should probably read some more.

Overall, a very busy and satisfying day. I'm happy. Tomorrow I will be buying and picking up the Neon Genesis Evangelion toys from a girl in Fishtown. So excited!

Savages!

Looks like another whole week passed and I haven't blogged. Not much happened during the week. I didn't run on Wednesday or Friday or the weekend. Definitely need to do laundry. The weekend was much better. I spent Friday night in with Molly since Jane was in Atlantic City. I got to see Peter early Saturday and we went to the arcade and watched Savages. I missed church and visiting Mom on Sunday and feel really bad about it. Oh, also got a replacement for COD: MW3 and bought Pixar stamps. Time to adjust to the week and get back together again.

Amazing Spiderman 3D

Had a much better rest of the week. Friday I went running after work and then went home to shower. My runs have improved from 17 minutes a mile to 15. I need to get it down to 10! Went to see Peter where I spent the night and we watched movies and ate pizza. He slept for most all of Saturday but we went to buffet and saw Amazing Spiderman 3D. We separated around 2 so he could go to the Pitt and I went home. I really need to buy an air conditioner. Did not sleep much and ended up sleeping almost all afternoon.

Whaaaambulance

So tired of having my heart just shit on. Is this the year for that? How can you make someone see that what they are doing is hurting you? No matter how trivial, if something upsets you it just does. How can you care for someone so much and do that for them but when you are hurt they don't make you feel better. There must be some awful guy gene that makes them this way. Sometimes I just want to give up. It's not fair. Should I just not care about something so "trivial"? I don't know what to do at times like this. He may not be wrong so is he required to feel your pain, too? Is it unfair that I felt a huge injustice in how the day and night ended for us? I feel like I do so much, try to make him happy, involve him in different things but I really waited for him for this and he went and did it without me. Is it unnecessary drama? Should I just suffer in silence? I feel like I suffer a lot. I put my neck out for a lot of people I just find that a lot wouldn't do the same for me. That is some bullshit. Maybe I am expecting too much. I always try to be appreciative. I am very fragile these days and what happened today was just not something I could bear easily. I don't want to blame myself because I am always doing so. I need someone who understands where I'm coming from. Someone who cares about my feelings. Is that just something you can't expect from a guy? Or ami just being a stupid girl....
